Part of the Vanke Changyang Sales Centre, this playground is based on simple and clean lines, bold colours, repetition and the juxtaposition of various types of play. The playground is a vibrant, fun, enjoyable and sculptural space for children and adults alike.
A series of parallel walls build the main structure within the playground – helping to both divide it into spaces and to unify it aesthetically. Within these rooms more traditional playground elements like swings, slides and merry-go-rounds are inserted. This helps define the uses and allows children of various ages to play without clashing. Finally, to add an element of adventure and to give it a sculptural spark, large climbing, balancing and swinging posts are scattered – almost dropped – onto the playground.
The playground is part of a larger sports area which also includes a beach volleyball court, a sandpit and a basketball court.
